A seasoned food industry veteran and international ingredient business specialist, Paavo boasts over 20 years of extensive experience in global business development, food ingredient sales, and operations management. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a diverse array of multinational FMCG and B2B food enterprises, guiding them through their critical early stages with numerous top 20 retailers and out-of-home operators worldwide.

Before joining Onego Bio in 2022, Paavo played a pivotal role in formulating and executing GTM strategies, successfully launching a plant-based novelty protein nationwide in the US. He has also led the new markets consumer goods sales team and spearheaded global technology licensing sales for a prominent dairy company. His notable achievements include participating in two greenfield factory investment projects in the Middle East and Finland.

Paavo holds an MSc from the Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and he is an alumnus of the London Business School.
